Signs You Have A Mole Living On Your NY, NJ or CT Property

Moles typically have a round body, 6″ long, with 4 legs and have gray or black soft fur. They are a member of the Talpidae family. Moles also have very large claws to dig with.

Moles start to come out in the spring, right when they reproduce. They are very common in North America. You will see them throughout the spring, summer, and fall, and then they will hibernate for the winter. They can move backwards and frontwards very quickly and can dive in and swim through water.

How do they affect me?

Moles shovel right below the ground in search of food and leave behind a mound of dirt. They will tear up your lawn, garden, and any dirt paths killing the grass and plants that lie in the way. The mounds can be yards long and the average mole digs 20 yards a day.
