Leaffooted Plant Bug

Have Leaffooted Plant Bugs Infested Your NY, NJ or CT Property?

Appearance

3/4″ to 1″ long and brown with a white band around the rear of the body. Their rear legs appear to look like a leaf (hence their name).

Habitat

You will begin to notice activity in the late summer months of August and September. They can be found on fruits of trees and nuts. They will prevent new growth of these crops.

How do they affect me?

Leaffooted plant bugs will feed off fruit trees, almonds and many other nuts. They will most likely attack in multiple numbers.

What should I do?

You must eliminate all areas where pests can overwinter. This includes wood piles and grass clippings. The leaffooted plant bug is covered under our Home Pest Prevention program.
